Sara Grimes has her undergraduate degree in Comparative History of Ideas from the University of Washington and is pursuing her MFA in Creative Writing at UC Riverside. Her literary influences range from Robert Frost to Courtney Peppernell to Mary Ruefle. She has been featured by Kelp Journal, recognized by the Dew Drop digest, and long-listed by Libretto Magazine. Her interdisciplinary approach mixes myth, proverb, social media, screenplay, and sonnet in a singular alchemy of wordscapes. She lives in Seattle where she imbibes art and culture via Salsa dancing, poetry slams, and karaoke. She lives with her lab mix Austen who conducts himself with a copious amount of gravitas.
